Courses & Clubs
At mypetstop our aim is to promote and encourage responsible and enjoyable dog ownership through group tuition and one to one sessions. Our training methods are based on reward based training methods and encompass our values of quality • care • trust.
Level 1 Courses & Clubs
All foundation courses (puppy, junior and adult) cover exercises such as walking on a loose lead, coming back when called, stays & health check and are an ideal introduction to dog training. In addition the dogs will benefit from socialisation with other dogs, people and sounds.
Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Course- For fully vaccinated puppies below 19 weeks of age.
Junior Foundation Course - For dogs 20 weeks to under a year that haven’t done any previous training.
Adult Foundation Course - For dogs over a year old that haven’t done any previous training.
Ringcraft Club - Our ringcraft club is the perfect introduction to showing for beginners, and a place to hone your skills if you’re more experienced in the ring.
Kids Club - Weekly club for 8 to 16 year olds and their dogs. Each week the club covers a different theme to help youngsters with a keen interest in dog training gain experience of and develop a wide range of skills whilst having fun.
Canine Capers - A weekly coffee morning club, emphasis is on fun and socialisation for dogs and their owners. Dogs attending should be friendly and have a basic level of training.
Level 2 Courses - Improvers
Dogs must have completed a Level 1 foundation course to enroll on an improver’s course. The Improvers courses build upon the exercises covered in the foundation courses, introducing greater distractions, longer stays and controlled greetings.
Puppy improvers - For puppies who have attended the puppy foundation course and are aged under 12 months.
Improvers - For dogs that have completed a junior or adult foundation course.
Level 3 Courses & Clubs
Dogs must have completed a level 2 course to enroll onto any of the level 3 courses.
Agility Foundation - Agility is a fun and active sport where dogs have to navigate a course comprised of obstacles such as jumps, tunnels and weaves. Dogs must have completed a level one foundation course as well as Improvers course at level 2.
Flyball Taster (3 week course) - Flyball is a fast and furious sport where two teams of dogs race against each other over a line of hurdles to a box that releases a tennis ball. The dog then races back over the hurdles carrying the ball.
Pets Progress - Builds on the exercises you have learnt in Improvers. You will learn distance control, working with harder distractions, off lead work, tricks, sending your dog to bed and emergency stops.
Heelwork to Music - One of the newest dog sports, Heelwork to Music involves dog and handler performing a routine in time to music. During the course you’ll learn how to train various moves and link them together into a routine to music.
Bronze Gold Citizen (6 week course) – Kennel Club standard award in basic level dog handling and obedience. To join this course you must have completed level 1 foundation and level 2 improvers. This is a 6 week course, which finishes with a test.
Level 4 Courses & Clubs
Agility Improvers - Dogs must have completed the agility foundation course. The course covers advanced use of the equipment, contacts, speed & accuracy and handler training.
Agility Club - Dogs must have attended the agility foundation AND improvers course before being eligible to join the club.
Flyball Club - Dogs must have attended the flyball taster course
Advanced Club – Dogs must have completed Pets Progress or the Bronze Good Citizen Course. Covers a wide range of activities to test the skills of dog and handler.

New Courses
Behaviour Level 1 – For dogs that have problems which cannot be solved on a training class and specialist attention is required for these issues to be overcome.
Behaviour Level 2 – For dogs with psychological problems which require a tailored program to help overcome these issues.
One-to-one training sessions - Ideal for people that would prefer individual help with any training issue.
