Leeds Centre

Heather Langdale, Pet Centre Manager in Leeds takes us through a regular day in her centre

Centre springs to life 6am in the kennels, and I know I can trust my team leaders to manage the centre until I arrive. I'm confident that if a pet has been unwell in the night they will already have a plan in place.

I always admire the building as I drive up the hill, it creates an impression and I'm proud to work in a facility like this where there is everything a pet needs under one roof.

Mornings for me are busy, touching base with each department. Again, I trust my team leaders to be on the ball with pet issues/worries and we always take the time to do what is in the pets interest.

The Pet Care Manager Sheli does a wonderful job and I know with her at the helm we will aim to look after pets as if they were our own. If I had any worries about leaving my own pet Daisy-woof here when I go on holiday, they have been diminshed by the trust the team have built and I feel reassured when i go away. She comes to work with me every day, so I know if Daisy-woof is happy, the customers pets are happy too.

I do love my job. I've been with the company since before we opened and have seen it grow and emerge as a service I firmly believe is cutting edge in pet facilities in the UK. I know my team love working here and it isnt all about making money (they wouldnt work here if it was!). We always consider the pets best interests first.

I think the Leeds centre is special because we all try to take pride in what we do, and try to do only what we do best. A number of the team have been here since we opened in 2004, and we share the same vision - quality, care, trust. My team genuinely care - if a pet is under the weather, they will often text in on their day off to see how it is doing.

Seeing is believing. I think that until actually people drive up to the centre they cant envisage what we're all about. Its a fantastic place to work, and I know if I didnt work here I would use the centre as a customer. It's convenient too, particulary doggy day camp - I can drop Daisy-woof off on my way to the White Rose Centre when I have a day off, confident she will have fun with her friends in the arena, while I shop.

You're just a short drive from the most amazing idea in Petcare. Our luxury dog kennels and cattery in Leeds are just off the M62, Junction 28. Next to Real Radio.
