Newcastle Centre

Mark Brown, Pet Centre Manager in Newcastle explains why he thinks his centre so special

We have been caring for Animals for over 20 years in the centre and for many of the pet carer’s, caring for pets is part of their lives and always will be.

You drive towards the centre along a country road and then suddenly the centre appears as if out of no-where, a hidden oasis ready to care for your pet.

The centre has a lovely cosy friendliness about it and most dogs who come here are welcomed by their names, as they walk through the door, as they have usually been many times before.

The grooming parlour is usually buzzing with activity by 9 o’clock each morning with our popular head groomer already transforming the first dog of the day into a stylish looking pooch.

By 10 am our pet carer’s are starting the first walks of the day – if your dog is a little nervous there will be a walk or playtime around the enclosed paddock or if your dog feels comfortable on a lead with a new playmate they can go on a nice walk around the site which is surrounded by lovely countryside.

Mid day our shop which sells a multitude of toys/food and treats for your pets is being re-stocked to ensure our regular customers have a broad array of purchases to choose from when they visit.

Six O’clock and our regular customers are now arriving for our dog training course – many dogs have been coming for training course to us for years and have passed many exams and gained medals for their talented performances, helped along by our experienced trainers.

As we close down the centre we know that our guardian angel Nellie Turnbull, who was regular customer of the centre will be keeping an eye on the centre for us along with our onsite caretaker. You will find a plaque in the centre in memory of her.
