Here at mypetstop we are dedicated to offering the best training courses for you and your dog. Our resident dog trainers offer a range of classes for dog of all ages and abilities.
We are pleased to confirm that Donna Connelly has joined the Team at the Mypetstop centre providing evening and weekend Dog Training Classes on Thursdays and Sundays. She will also be providing 121 and Behavioural training.
With over 25 year’s experience in the dog training sector. Donna has been assessed and gained full membership of both the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT). Donna is the only person in the north east that has full membership with both.
Donna specialises in 121 training and Behavioural training, training problems such as aggression towards other dogs, people, other animals, fear and phobias, separation anxiety and much more.
Donna is confident that with her guidance your dog will learn to be the very best it can be, becoming a well-mannered, well-adjusted dog.
We are pleased to confirm that Deborah Smiles has joined the Team at the Mypetstop centre providing evening Dog Training Classes on Mondays and Wednesdays.
With several years of experience, Deborah is a Certified Kennel Club Trainer, Member of the Guild of Dog Trainers, Member of the Institute of Animal Care and Education, and is qualified in Canine Psychology.
Deborah provides all levels of training in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme, from Puppy Foundation onwards. She specialises in the training education of young dogs with extensive experience in puppies under 12 months.
As a lifelong dog lover, she is currently the owner of a young rescue dog called Penny who often accompanies her to classes, and also a working Border Collie called Jess.
Deborah is committed to providing education and information to owners to ensure they make the most of their canine companions.
I have worked at mypetstop since November 2005. I love working with animals, it is all I have ever done and at mypetstop I get a good variety of dogs to cuddle. I have 9 Italian Spinone all are related – that’s 4 generations of the same family born between 2004 and 2015. I also have a border terrier called Gracie born 2004, two cats tiggy and breeze, three tortoise and two red footed tortoise. My Spinone are Drew born 2004, he has been worked and is a show champion. Angel was born 2007 has also been worked and is also a show champion. Poppet and Midas both born 2007. Hattie and Evie both born 2009. Meryl was born 2011 and is a show dog. Erin and Stewie are Meryl puppies, they were born January 2015, Stewie had to stay with me due to his health problems.
I have worked in various pet related roles these included – Clarement Road and Benton Farm Cat and Dog Shelters, as a Lay Veterinary Nurse at a private vets, Animal Care Auxiliary at the PDSA for 8 years. I have no formal qualifications working with pets but a wealth of knowledge and experience. I have been showing dogs for the last 25 years.
