Care Consultant

You will deliver high quality care to all customers and pets within Centre Management working instructions and standard operating procedures. This is both an externally facing role, where you will be the organisation’s representative in the community and with all our existing and potential customers. Internally you will be responsible for providing the very best in customer care – “care you can touch” to all our customers.

Responsibilities of job

  • Greet all customers and their pets within ten seconds of them entering mypetstop®
  • Build rapport and showing empathy with all customers and their pets
  • Answer customers’ telephone, mail, and in-person inquiries and directs customers to appropriate area
  • Ensure all new customers fill out an information guide
  • Take control in a friendly fashion to find out what our customers requirements are then record the information onto Careware
  • Following the “8 steps of selling” as a basic minimum
  • Fill out Wellness Plans contract forms, determine charges for services requested, collects payments via direct debit, using computer
  • Keep the reception area tidy and stocked at all times
  • Complete all checklists and daily logs by the end of your shift
  • Liaise with other departments throughout the Company to ensure high customer service standards are met
  • Maintain a focus on KPI’s and objectives and monitor the quality of work and progress against plans

Pet Care Consultant

Purpose of job

You will deliver high quality care to all customers and pets within Centre Management working instructions and standard operating procedures. Responsibilities of job

  • Greet all customers and their pets in a friendly and welcoming manner as soon as you meet them
  • Build rapport and showing empathy with all customers and their pets
  • Assess all the information available relating to the pet and owners requirements, ensuring that appropriate accommodation and resources are provided to meet contract
  • Settle pets into apartments and return pets to owners at reception, when required
  • Feed and water all pets according to schedules, weighing food to meet feeding regimes to maintain pets health and meet owners requirements
  • Clean and disinfect apartments and communal areas
  • Examine pets for signs of illness and treats them according to instructions
  • Transfer pets between quarters
  • Adjust controls to regulate temperature and humidity of pet’s apartments
  • Record information according to instructions, such as genealogy, diet, weight, medications, food intake, inputs, outputs etc.
  • Record any abnormalities in pet inputs and outputs and inform Senior Carers or Team Leaders
  • Maintain security of medics cabinet and administer all drugs in accordance with vet, owner and company requirements, maintaining all company records
  • Manage the pet extras, as agreed, to meet owners requirements

Site Maintenance

To maintain the site and buildings to the required standard including landscaping minor building maintenance and cleaning.

Objectives:

1. Landscaping
1.1 Keep all grass areas cut weed free and tidy.
1.2 Keep shrubbery pruned and tidy free from weeds and rubbish.
1.3 Keep other areas of site weed free and clear from rubbish.
1.4 Maintain seasonal planting areas including pots and baskets to an acceptable standard.
1.5 Report to management any problems with landscaped areas and plan to address.
   
2. Site & Building Maintenance
2.1 Keep site clear of rubbish.
2.2 Empty all outside bins.
2.3 Respond to requested minor maintenance and improvement jobs as required.
2.4 Identify minor maintenance and improvement jobs and suggest action.
2.5 Keep external pet care areas free from rubbish and pet waste.
2.6 Apply grit to car park in cold weather.
   
3. Quality and Information
3.1 Responsible for effective communication between the centre team members.
3.2 Responsible for managing the effective use of materials.
3.3 Responsible for the storage and care of mypetstop® owned maintenance equipment.
