Prior to the event Natalie Wood, one of our groomers, had been talent spotted by Dezynadog when she had entered Groomer of the Year Competition with her Lhasa Apso “Missy”. They were very impressed with her grooming skills and high standards and asked her to do a grooming demonstration at their ‘Grooming for a Living’ event.

Natalie tells us, ‘I thoroughly enjoyed doing the demonstration as I feel very strongly about being a good groomer and setting a high standard in the salon. I felt it was an ideal opportunity to demonstrate my skills to both experienced and prospective groomers, reminding people considering becoming a groomer that it’s not an easy undertaking’.

The feedback following the demo was very positive. Natalie has great communication skills coupled with the ability to talk while she grooms! Lots of delegates asked questions during the demonstration and Natalie explained everything in detail. Natalie hopes to develop her tutoring skills and to be called on again to demonstrate her skills in public. ‘I hope that by doing the demonstration I have inspired people thinking about becoming a groomer to take the plunge, put in the effort and reap the rewards of having a dog that is transformed after they have worked their styling magic’.
